- Generate optical parts from various types of glass, sticking to work instructions and tight tolerances. (Tolerances being axial measurements down to ±0.01mm, parallelism, and surface finishes)
- Maintain paperwork for every part as well as track labor hours in computer system for data collection.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve and streamline work instructions and procedures for main production parts, engineering test parts, and process development for new parts.
- Work on Blanchards, wire saw, chevalier saw, sandblaster, and laser writer.
- Work on over a dozen products, each with unique procedures. Some raw blanks, some fine polished, and some coated.
