Summary

    Over the last 21 years that I have been in the trucking industry I have worked for 2 dealerships, and 2 leasing companies. In that time I learned to work and repair many different types of trucks. I have come from being the person learning how to fix trucks to assisting and teaching individuals how to fix them.    As a Lead Technician, I earned administration end of this industry that I put my foot forward and want to continue to learn. As a Lead Technician, I cover service manager duties when our service manager is out of the office or on vacation. I've been performing the role of substitute service manager ever before becoming a Lead Tech.      I have a pretty good relationship with most customers that we deal with on a regular basis. Also, I believe most of our technicians respond positively when giving repair work, and direction.

  As a Lead Technician, my job is to ensure all mechanics are handed the correct job that fits there mechanical level. Also to complete repairs correctly and in a timely matter. I also help techs with troubleshooting, repairs, test drives, and calling customers for approval. Calling in claims to Cummins, Eaton, Dana, Meritor and etc..  Also, add appointments and update schedule regularly with customers complaints and contact info. Going over the schedule with other lead techs during shift change. Writing estimates and submitting to customers for approval. Invoicing customers for repairs completed, and taking payment as needed.

I started at Hunter Jersey Peterbilt as a B-technician and worked my way up to an A-tech. My daily duties consisted of engine troubleshooting on engines such as Cummins, Cat, and Paccar. I also performed Pm services, clutch adjustments/replacement, trans rebuilds/replacement, A/C repairs, engine overhauls, brakes, tires, suspension repairs, test driving trucks to verify repairs just to note e few. I built my knowledge of trucks and repairs with training provided by Hunter that covered duties listed above.

At Freightliner, I started off mostly doing road calls. perform repairs on the side of the road in many different levels. We had a service truck, that was pretty equipped with tools and parts to perform repairs needed on the road. Later our shop was built where most repairs were performed in the shop while still doing road calls. Performing road calls taught me a lot about dealing with repairs on the road, dealing with customers when it pertains to billing, and getting payments before letting vehicles go. I performed many repairs on trucks while learning the ins and outs of trucks. we performed repairs on mostly Freightliners, engine troubleshooting, brakes, A/C, rears, driveline, electrical, and ETC.

Rollins is where I began my career working in the trucking industry. I started as a fueler/washer, we fueled and performed a 90 point inspection in the fuel aslie. We checked all engine fluid levels, coolant, washer fluid, power steering, engine oil, and trans if automatic. Replace wiper blades, replace mud flaps, check and repair lights, and air up wheels.
