  • The Medical ward is divided into 2 male, 2 female wards, a chest TB ward and virtual ward with a total of 110-120 beds. The medical wards admits from ages 13- 99 or above with cardiac monitoring, post-operative care, nebulization treatments, HIV treatment, etc. There is an emergency trolley, DDA cupboard, 1 treatment room for each ward, Isolation room and minor procedure room. Two – RNs (1 staff nurse: 12 patients) are assigned to the ward each shift with the assistance of a trained clinical nurse or nursing auxiliary or patient care technician. Cases such as Congestive heart failure, cerebral vascular accident, traumatic brain injury, Delirium Tremors, Acute kidney disease, Seizure disorder, ventilated and intubated.

  • Uniquely, the Pediatric ward is divided into 3 categories such as Nursery, East-west and North with a total of 42 beds. The nursery admits from age 0-5 months and has a total of 12 beds with cardiac monitoring, phototherapy and nebulization treatments; there is an emergency trolley, DDA cupboard, 1 treatment room and minor procedure room. One RN is assigned to the ward each shift with the assistance of a trained clinical nurse or nursing auxiliary or patient care technician. Cases such as Jaundice, failure to thrive, bronchiolitis, mild RDS, HIV/AIDs complications, and gastroenteritis and burns are presented.
  • Next the East-West ward can hold a total of 14-15 patients (15 beds) and admits children from 5 months to ages 5yo; the Emergency trolley and DDA cupboard are kept on Nursery and shared with Pediatrics-east/west ward. A variety of are presented but not limited to are sickle cells, scabies, traumatic brain injury, shaken baby syndrome, Physical abuse, enucleation, conjunctivitis, seizures, pneumonia, and burns are presented.
  • Lastly the North ward accommodates up to 15 patients (15 beds) ages 5yrs-15yrs and the Emergency trolley and DDA cupboard are kept on Nursery and are also shared with Pediatric North. Cases that are seen but not limited to are Physical abuse, pyloric stenosis, TBI, Handicapped, fractures, Tonsillitis, burns, lacerations, Juvenile Diabetes, Sickle cells Anemia and Lupus.
