As an Academic Specialist, I am committed to providing specialized instruction to students in grades 1 through 4 who are identified as gifted or talented. I design and implement a differentiated curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. My goal is to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of gifted learners in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

• As a 3rd-grade teacher, my role was to shape the educational experiences of my students by designing and delivering engaging lessons in all core subjects, including reading, writing, math, and science. In addition to imparting essential academic knowledge, I fostered the social and emotional development of each child, assessed their progress regularly, and effectively managed classroom behavior. I frequently communicated with parents, which I believe is a key responsibility, as it supports students' learning journeys. I also provided individualized instruction, monitored student understanding, and strived to maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.

• As a 5th-grade science and math teacher, I was responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons in both subjects to a class of elementary students. My focus was on age-appropriate concepts, including basic biology, chemistry, geometry, fractions, and data analysis. I aimed to foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning through hands-on activities, experiments, and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of my students. Additionally, I managed classroom behavior, assessed student progress, communicated with parents, and collaborated with other teachers to maintain a cohesive learning environment.
