My duties included basic health care, first aid, medication administration, and overall health safety of our 2,000 students on campus. I was responsible for organization of hearing and vision screenings, scoliosis screenings, critical health conditions, and immunizations. During this time was was trained one-on-one with LISD Health Servies director of 25 years, Jan Fulbright, on how to direct a district health program and how to manage school nurses.
My duties include, but are not limited to: directly supervising 3 RNs, and 1 LVN, multiple billing aspects (coding ICD-10, HIS), weekly schedules, weekly updated care plans list for physicians, and PRN patient visits.
I was responsible for admitting, resuming, and discharging patient from home health care. This involved direct patient assessment, communicating with multiple physicians and insurance companies, and diligent, timely paperwork completion. I left Agape full time in November 2015. I remain a PRN employee with the agency, and take weekend call for them every 5 weeks.
Began hospice admission process, and complete the process. This involved gathering records, studying medical records in depth, and presenting the case to multiple physicians. I also worked as a case manger. This involved having 13-18 patients assigned to you weekly, and managing all pain any symptoms in the home.
