As a sprinkler designer, I am responsible for projects of all sizes and complexity. I review contracts and sales estimates when they are booked, clean-up CAD backgrounds and thoroughly review construction drawings, layout sprinklers for all types of systems (wet, dry, pre-action, commercial or residential), participate in BIM coordination meetings, verify and/or draw existing system conditions with site surveys, perform hydraulic calculations on all types of systems, perform fire flow tests and calculate water supply from the measured results, list and order material for fixed fire suppression systems, coordinate system component locations with other MEP trades, research and verify code sections as they apply to real-world scenarios as they are occurring, list and order project materials and coordinate with field installers to ensure all materials have been delivered and any field issues have been resolved.

As sprinkler operations manager, I was responsible for maintaining the overall business. I reviewed bid packages before they were submitted to customers, reviewed and executed project contracts, generated subcontract agreements, managed subcontractors, scheduled man-power for all active projects, managed safety and hosted monthly meetings, collaborated with corporate level managers to maintain sales and project margins, inspected installed work for quality and code compliance prior to AHJ inspections, reviewed sprinkler plans for accuracy and buildability prior to AHJ submittals, developed schedule of values, generated monthly billings, and managed lien waivers.

As a designer and project manager, I was responsible for reviewing booked contracts and project estimates, generated fire protection layouts for various types of systems, listed and ordered all project materials, participated in BIM coordination meetings, supported field teams throughout system installation, performed site surveys to verify conditions and generate existing system layouts, managed project budgets using project management software, priced and executed change orders, coordinated with GC and MEP project managers to achieve completion, managed all safety records and requirements, generated and hosted monthly team safety meetings and department updates, managed licensing requirements for most local AHJs, assisted with fire pump testing and project inspections, responded to and managed water damage claims.

Conducted site surveys, designed and hydraulically calculated small core/shell, tenant finish and limited scope layouts, small project management, drew and calculated system risers for backflow retrofits, full layout and calculations for medium size medical office building, assisted with survey, design and calculation of dry and preaction systems for full system piping replacement.
