Initial Operating Experience Scheduling Coordinator

  • Schedule new hire First Officers for their in-air aircraft training with a qualified instructor.
  • Schedule First Officers who have more than 1000 flight hours for their in-air Captain upgrade training with a qualified instructor.
  • Work with the Federal Aviation Administration to schedule Captain upgrade students for their required Line Check with the FAA before their training is able to be completed.
  • Work with the FAA to schedule our current instructors yearly training to insure they stay qualified and to schedule incoming instructors to become qualified.
  • Upon completion of the crew members training I reach out to them to build their monthly schedules for the current and following month.
  • I schedule Special Line Flying which is flying with an instructor to be evaluated after an issue has brought to the attention of the safety department and/or management.
  • I schedule all the monthly required line checks for crew members to stay qualified and line checks for all international cities to insure we are able to continue operating to those locations.
  • I complete daily and monthly reports that is sent to all of management to make decisions on staffing and base coverage.
  • I run teams meetings.
  • I have cross trained on scheduling the Flight Attendants and will fill in when needed.
  • I answer calls and emails daily.
  • I filled in as manager while my manager was on leave and completed all manager reports and ran all of her scheduled teams meetings.

  • Take and cover all call offs, make sure all flights are covered,

  • Track times between flights, overnight times, flight hours and duty days to make sure all crew members are scheduled legally.
  • Update flight times and crew member schedules as need to make sure flying is legal and modify schedules as needed.
