Organized and co-facilitated two Networked Improvement Communities (NIC) for K-12 mathematical reasoning and social-emotional learning through a grant-funded partnership.

• Served as key conduit between local school system and the University of Maryland’s Center for Educational Innovation and Improvement (CEii).
• Expanded improvement and leadership work of the CEii for other school systems and stakeholders.
• Monitored and informed principals, school staff, area office staff on the status of instructional programs and continuous improvement work.
• Provided support and technical assistance to comprehensive support and improvement (CSI) and targeted support and improvement (ATSI) schools identified by the Maryland State Department of Education.
• Conducted data collection and analysis of state and local assessments and PDSA testing cycles for schools and other stakeholders.
• Developed and facilitated multiple professional learning experiences and workshops on improvement science principles, tools, and resources.

Led the development and implementation of the State's system of metrics and protocols in meeting the COMAR for the evaluation of all local school systems' K-12 English Language Arts and Mathematics curricula.

• Co-wrote first version [February 2022] of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future, Policy Area 3 - College and Career Readiness Report. The report communicates state and local proposed actions and plans to develop and expand curricular standards and resources for ensuring all students are college and career ready by the end of 10th grade.
• Developed and headed the state’s evaluation of and training for local school system Recovery and Reopening Plans in meeting each requirement of the federal American Rescue Plan (ARP) and Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) fund.
• Led ongoing regional and customized professional learning opportunities in the development, implementation, and measurement of high-quality instructional materials and curriculum aligned with the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards.
• Created data visualizations and reports for local school systems highlighting trends, patterns, and areas of student growth and opportunities for improvement based on state and local assessment data. Matched evidence- and research-based solutions to improve student outcomes.
• Directed practical hands-on data analysis workshops consisting of both local and state data as well as modeled and coordinated data-informed coaching, data-dialogue protocols, as well as instructional best practices which effectively prioritized student needs throughout ongoing professional learning experiences.
• Coached school leaders and personnel on standards-based instruction and data-informed decision-making strategies, promoting continuous improvement grounded in the Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement.
• Led the support and technical assistance of local school systems in the selection and implementation of evidence-based interventions using implementation frameworks suited for the kind of intervention or strategy to be implemented.

Directed regular structured collaborative planning experiences for multiple content area teachers and department chairs to analyze formative and summative assessment data and to create standards-based assignments and differentiated instruction.

• Taught general education, special education, and multi-lingual learners in mathematics, English Languages Arts/Literacy, Science, and Social Studies for grades 4-8.
• Leveraged data-informed student groupings and instructional strategies to deliver marked increases in student performance on local benchmark and state assessments for student cohorts.
• Developed teacher and administrator capacity to analyze and report on student performance to align instruction and assessment with state standards.
• Developed and managed a technology initiative entitled H.O.L.A (Hispanic Outreach for Literacy Advancement), resulting in an increase in attendance and student performance for Hispanic students.
• Wrote curricula for various school levels and content areas in alignment with the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. Integrated instructional supports for students reading above grade level, students with disabilities, and English learners.
• Led monthly Steering Committee meetings through use of data visualizations of student achievement and growth for all content areas.
• Selected to participate multiple years on the local school system’s Superintendent’s Advisory Panel; guided strategic plan initiatives.
