Throughout my upcoming venture into Linguistic PhD studies, I hope to contribute to the literature concerning the theoretical underpinnings of Second Language reading disabled students Particularly, I am planning to research the distinction between subjects with developmental dyslexia and those with developmental language disorders In preparation for my PhD: I have taken 7 pre-requisite PhD level courses at Bar Ilan University with above average grades I have participated in Second Language research in the areas of Novel (weak vs strong) and Non-novel Phonemes among English L1, Afrikaans L2 and Hebrew Foreign Language students I have also done research into the impact of Novel phonemes on Amharic L1 students learning Hebrew as a foreign language
