  • Review and evaluate Desktop Underwriter (DU) findings, credit reports, preliminary title reports, flood certifications, appraisals, and income and asset documentation prior to forwarding the file to the underwriter.
  • General knowledge of investor guidelines and how to proactively identify when documentation will not suffice
  • Prioritize workload to manage timely submission of loan files to underwriting; track files to meet all expected closing dates. Maintain communication with Loan Officers and loan officer assistants and management regarding the status of the loan process
  • Collect and clear third-party conditions. Verification of employment Title and all related title conditions, Appraisal, verification of mortgage verification of rent
  • Request initial closing disclosures
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of guidelines for VA, FHA and conventional loan products.
  • Detail oriented & ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Review submissions for completeness of documentation required for loan approval within 48 hours
  • Obtain and review needed documentation for final approval.
  • Work closely with Loan officer assistant through funding on any items needed to close loans

Assistant Loan Processor

  • Started at the Appraisal Desk ordering, tracking and intaking all appraisals
  • Reviewed appraisals, ordered corrections and sent Appraisal Acknowledgments
  • Moved into a Junior Processor position within the first year
  • Manage files from beginning to end to ensure a timely closing
  • Duties include reviewing and preparing loan files in Byte, preparing loan estimates, sending initial disclosures and reviewing disclosures once signed
  • Set up loan files for the processor by obtaining and reviewing VOE's, LDP's, SSA's, tax transcripts, insurance policies, flood certs, obtain HOA certifications, ensuring Locked LE's and CD's are sent. In addition, I obtained and review the PTD's and once loan is CTC'd prepare it for loan documents
  • Work with Funder, Underwriter and Escrow on funding of loans
  • Work daily with all members of our team; Processor, Underwriter, Docs department, Appraisal desk, Loan Officers and Escrow to manage a pipeline of 40-50 files at a time
  • Process HELOC loans brokered out to TCF and Quorum
