Deal and Venture Exploration Associate

  • Led project to swap minimum work commitments with CVX and Ecopetrol within SOV and NOV blocks, this project will bring US$50 mln savings to Shell (expect closing in Q4'23).
  • Led midstream project in Colombia: assessment of the different options to evacuate the gas, which was a key contribution to the maturation of the capital project. Signed MOU with the transporters to initiate the relevant studies.
  • Experience in this role included multiparty negotiations, coordination of internal functions and stakeholders, and secure internal mandates and assurances needed to proceed with the projects.

  • Led the negotiations and drafted farm-in and joint operating agreements to acquire exploration assets.
  • Led negotiations for other ancillary agreements such as Confidentiality Agreements and Shareholders Agreements for divestment and growth projects in the US and South America.

  • Contributed and co-lead to more than $ 1bln in projects that supported the growth strategy of Shell in the upstream business in countries such as: Bolivia, Argentina onshore and offshore, and Mexico deep water.
  • Led negotiations with the government and local regulators to enable more optimal terms for the divestment and/or acquisitions that led to completion and success of the projects.
  • Acted as asset commercial lead for exploration asset in the Latin America region; appointed as direct interface with partners and local regulators.
  • Experience in this role included leading: the due diligence for divestment and acquisitions; negotiations of sales & purchase and other operational agreements with counterparties; preparation of materials to secure internal mandate.
