My international volunteer experiences in Tijuana, Mexico, and Tanzania, Africa, have profoundly impacted me and shaped my perspective in meaningful ways. In Tijuana, I contributed to building schools and homes for those affected by natural disasters and poverty, while also teaching English to local schoolchildren. Similarly, in Tanzania, I engaged in building projects and provided medical assistance to those in need, fostering a sense of community and compassion. These experiences not only allowed me to make a tangible difference in the lives of others but also broadened my understanding of global issues and the importance of humanitarian efforts. Additionally, my ongoing volunteer work at the Denver Anchor Center for the visually impaired, where I read to children and participate in charity events to raise money, has further deepened my commitment to serving others and making a positive impact in my community.
