Responsible for the daily care of an elderly person with dementia. Duties include but are not limited to:

Meal planning and preparation to assure proper nutrition

Medication reminders and administration to ensure client receives them regularly and in a timely manner, as well of filling any prescriptions as needed

Daily schedule planning and coordination of therapies and appointments as well as ensuring after care routine is adhered to

Transportation to and from appointments

Assuring areas are clean and safe for a comfortable home environment

Providing emotional support to the ever changing challenges that arise

Monitor clients' overall health and well-being, noting significant changes, and keeping family informed of these changes

Coordinate with family on any changes that need to made in the daily routine and ensure changes are put into affect

Keeping inventory and making lists of clients' needs for weekly shopping

Keep track of receipts for all purchases made on the clients' behalf to present for monthly budgeting

Contribute to a positive atmosphere for client by using effective communication and active listening skills

Review and accept orders according to location and delivery needs

Coordinate with vendors to insure correct items are made and packaged as well as and substitutions that need to be made

Communicate with customer to ensure all substitutions are to their liking

Use GPS technology as well as written and oral instructions to navigate to the proper location

Maintain upbeat, positive attitude in a busy, customer focused environment

Ensure deliveries are made in a timely, and safe manner

Maintained orderly and clean work areas for safety and health codes

Set up shop for opening by setting up displays, preparing food, getting machines started.

Assist customers with their orders, explaining products, helping select, taking payment, and insuring satisfaction

Deliver products to stores and set up displays

Clean up after closing; washing dishes, sweep and mop, clean all surfaces and machines, set up for the morning.
