Patient oriented nurse with years of experience offering skilled clinical care in multiple different medical and community based settings. Interpersonal strength with all ages of pediatric patients as well as their families. The Educational aspect of nursing, teaching patients/clients about preventative care as well as how to manage their current health care issue is also an interest of mine.
1:1 Nurse for a student at elementary school. The student had extreme special needs and medical needs that I tended to on a daily basis. Worked with a team of special educators, OT, PT,ST to be sure the physical, emotional, medical and educational needs of the student were being met
Worked at the outpatient infusion clinic. Placed PIV's, worked with central lines and port a caths to administer medication infusions, IVIG and blood products.
Responsible for the total care of 3-6 patients on a very busy pediatric floor that cared for all medical, surgical, neurological and oncology patients.
In November of 2013, I was promoted to CHAD Float pool RN. I floated between Pediatrics, PIC and NICU depending on acuity and census needs.
I am currently working Per Diem on the Pediatric floor on the weekends.
