Volunteer opportunities in which I currently enjoy being involved include:

* Sponsoring a cheer squad with an Upward Sports flag football league

Some of my favorite things:

* Reading for my own enjoyment, but even more sharing a book with a child.

* Sewing, all kinds; hand and machine

* Singing

* Drawing

My other occupation is as a caregiver for my Father. From this I have learned and relearned many of life's most important lessons. First and foremost of these is a sense of humor is invaluable. The virtues of kindness and patience matter most when you don't feel like it. And the most valuable rewards are often not experienced immediately or until you are truly able to appreciate them.
