01/01/24 - current University of Vermont International Student Buddy Program: this buddy program pairs a local UVM student with an international or exchange student. Activities include showing new student around campus, attending school events, and language exchange.
08/20/23 - 12/22/23 Study Abroad in South Korea: Studied at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea for one semester. Courses include education, history, arts, language, and linguistics.
08/25/23-12/20/23 English Tutor in Seoul South Korea: Participated in a language exchange with local Korean Ewha University students. I spent roughly 4 hours a week tutoring students in English.
08/25/20 - 05/10/21 Honors Program at Russell Sage College: I was a member of the Russell Sage College Honors Program. This program required students to take honor level courses and attend honors meetings.
09/15/20 - 05/10/21, Democracy Matters Club at Russell Sage College: This club focuses on informing students about the importance of voting. I attended weekly meetings to prepare and brainstorm event ideas, where I would eventually help host events.
09/15/20 - 05/10/21 Creative Arts Therapy Club at Russell Sage College: This club focuses on the importance of mental health and how art can influence the student body. I also worked with other club members to organize the events our club would host.
I am Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certified. In addition to Linguistics, a great portion of my undergraduate curriculum consisted of Education for Cultural & Linguistic Diversity courses, through which have greatly influenced my approach to teaching and allowed me to developed a deeper understanding of ESL policy as well as a set of multicultural education teaching.
