Lauren Barrios

Summary

My name is Lauren Barrios, and I have dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since I was two years old. Growing up surrounded by animals instilled in me a deep compassion for their care, which has guided every step of my academic and personal journey. In 2015, I moved from Seattle to Texas to be closer to my family and fully dedicate myself to pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, providing a strong foundation in the sciences essential for veterinary school. Over the years, I have intentionally surrounded myself with exceptional veterinarians who have mentored me, offered hands-on learning opportunities, and deepened my understanding of the profession. Their guidance has reinforced my confidence that I am well-prepared to succeed in veterinary school and thrive in a career devoted to animal health and welfare.
