I started with four in a nursing home setting, before moving onto oncology at the University of Michigan where I truly fell in love with patient care. I went on to specialize in Bone Marrow Transplant at Karmanos Cancer Institute, where I am now. I will have been at this facility for ten years in July of 2023. In that time, I have honed my nursing skills, worked in quality and regulatory for our Apheresis department where I familiarized myself with governing bodies in healthcare, and have become a nurse preceptor and Educator for our unit. Currently, I divide my time working the floor, and taking new hires and students from neighboring universities and colleges in hopes of expressing how fulfilling nursing and nursing education can truly be.

• Patient Care - Delivered compassionate care that exceeded hospital requirements. Received several starfish awards requiring nominations by patients, their families and management.

• Evidence Based Practice- Audited sterile technique with central line use in prevention of CLABSI
