Summary

I am an enthusiastic counseling graduate eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. I have cultivated a clear understanding of the tasks and training expected of a LPC. I am motivated to learn, grow and excel in the mental health industry. During my time as a PLPC I worked to improve upon my graduate training by helping clients with a variety of diagnoses overcome personal challenges and cope with triggering situations. As a fully licensed counselor, my focus now is on facilitating exploration of client concerns through an eclectic style of counseling, developing individualized plans and developing important coping skills.

Fun Facts

I am married and have 4 daughters. We have 2 cats and 1 dog. I play the ukulele; all sizes but prefer my tenor strung in low G. I get along well with others and love creating an environment that feels safe and inclusive for all. My favorite book series is Harry Potter and my favorite televisions series is Stranger Things. I love stormy weather. I like being indoors but I also love experiencing the natural and unique beauty that is Louisiana. The most important thing to know about me is that I believe we all go through phases of life where we need a helping hand. I choose this field because I want to be a part of the solution in creating more available and appropriate treatment modalities for those in need. I want to be part of the movement that pushes the idea of prioritizing mental health forward.

Counseling Philosophy

I work from an eclectic background, but have training in CBT and ABA. I see therapy as an individualistic endeavor and therefore curate my style to each of my clients. I try and work from a holistic approach and consider the interrelationship between mind, body, and spirit.
