I am currently a host at two different restaurants in Grapevine, Chez Fabien and Piaf. I am skilled at answering calls and making reservations as well as deescalating high-intensity emotional situations and dealing with complaints. I have leadership experience and have been entrusted to train new employees at both of my current jobs. I love talking to people and giving them the best service possible.
Customer satisfaction and efficiency of the restaurant process are my main priorities. In addition to hosting I also help with other tasks such as filling waters, clearing and bussing tables, running food to tables, and polishing glasses behind the bar. I work well with others and my favorite part of my job is interacting with customers and my coworkers.
I manage a reservation system, Open Table, to optimize table turnover and guest experience. I have been entrusted to train new employees. Since I've started I've trained four different people. I am also skilled at answering the phone, a large part of my job involves calling people and receiving calls regarding reservations and complaints. I've learned to stay calm under pressure and to not escalate controversy. Maintaining a calm demeanor and respect towards thise around you is crucial.
I worked as a head camp counselor at a dog daycare for two years. I was in a position of authority and was tasked with training newly hired employees and answering any questions they had about the job. I am skilled at cleaning and gained great communication skills from that job.
Texas College Democrats
Regional Director for North Texas
I was recently appointed as the Regional Director for the North Texas area of Texas College Democrats. My main responsibilities will include communicating with and forming a contact list of local politicians in the area, reaching out the local schools interested in joining TCD, increasing TCD membership through helping start branches at local schools and hosting joint volunteer events to allow students involved in TCD from different campuses to interact with one another.
Texas College Democrats Club
President/Founder
I am the current President and Founder of the TWU branch of Texas College Democrats, also known as TCDC. Through starting this organization I have gained invaluable leadership experience. The process of registration and the recruitment of its members have shown me the drive and compassion it takes to be in a position of authority. Giving students a platform to respectfully discuss current events and debate certain topics is so important to me. Education is the other main focus of TCDC. A lot of young people don't know how to help, they feel powerless. By giving them the opportunity to serve their community and advocate for progressive causes we can give them a voice, and an opportunity to make real change in the world. We can give them hope. TCDC will also have a huge focus on educating students and our community about how our government works, particularity how local/state politics directly affect them. I believe we will be able to reach a lot of people through the volunteer work we will be doing in the Denton community and the information and subsequent resources we will be talking about concerning current events.
