Lauren Dage

As a camp counselor, my role is to supervise and support campers while making sure they feel safe, included, and encouraged throughout the day. I lead activities such as games, outdoor adventures, and group events, helping campers try new things and build confidence. I also make sure camp rules are followed, help resolve conflicts that come up, and work to be a positive role model for the campers. My goal is to create a fun and supportive environment where campers can make friends, learn new skills, and enjoy their time at camp as well as grow their faith. This camp is one week long over the summer, but planning for the camp takes place all year long!

• Working in fulfillment at a Target Superstore, I spent most of my shifts moving quickly through the aisles, picking items for online orders and making sure everything was accurate before it left the store. The job required a lot of focus and organization, especially during rush periods when hundreds of orders came in at once. I learned to multitask, communicate clearly with my team, and solve problems on the spot when items were out of stock or hard to locate. Even though it was fast-paced, I enjoyed the sense of responsibility and teamwork—it felt good knowing that the work I did directly impacted guests getting their orders on time and having a smooth experience.

• I worked as a Church Nursery Worker, where I cared for infants and toddlers during worship services and church events. I ensured a safe, clean, and nurturing environment by supervising play, changing diapers, feeding when necessary, and comforting children as needed. I followed strict check-in/check-out procedures, communicated with parents, and maintained sanitation standards. My role also involved supporting the church’s mission by creating a loving, Christ-centered space for young children and their families.
