The Louisiana Bariatric Surgery Association was created on behalf of future patients to advocate for medical coverage for bariatric surgery. As the Executive Administrative Assistant, I work closely with the head of the board of LBSA as well as LBSA’s lobbying team to organize and promote the association as it is constantly expanding. My job at LBSA has taught me what it takes to run an association such as LBSA as well as the effort it takes to establish change.
The Little Leaders program is a 2-week summer camp run by Mrs. Ellen Nora from Solomon House in New Iberia which invites young students from New Iberia from ages 7-12 to participate in games and activities that develop and reinforce leadership skills and philosophies.
