Lauren Gravois

Growing up in classic ballet training taught me the importance of persistence, hard work, and discipline. When I was in elementary school, I started gaining interest in community theater. I didn’t make the first 4 plays that I tried out for, but, thanks to my training, I kept trying out and got to be in my first community theater show. In Middle School, I was a protégée for my ballet school’s 3-4 year old ballet classes. I was given experience teaching the little girls the sport I had fallen in love with when I was their age. In High School, I was an active member of our school’s Cardinal Vanguard. I was in the Colorguard and Winterguard for 5 years. I learned how to work under pressure, work in a team setting, and taught good sportsmanship. My junior year, I was blessed with the opportunity to go to World Championships for Winterguard in Dayton, Ohio. We placed 5th in Worlds. I was able to meet people that were on different teams from all over the nation. My senior year, (2023-2024 season) I earned the title of Co-Captain. This gave me experience on how to lead a group. Currently, I am an Art History Major at Nicholls State University. I am also involved with a local community theater show that will be performed this fall.
