How Motherhood Elevates My Professional Skills

Through raising my four kids, I've learned how to be patient when someone is upset to mediate the situation. Managing the busy schedules, coordinating activities, and ensuring everyone's needs are met has taught me exceptional time management and multitasking abilities. I've learned to prioritize tasks and effectively adapt to changing situations, which I believe are crucial in any work environment. Plus, raising four kids has strengthened my teamwork skills, as I often collaborate with my kids to get things done in my household. My experience as a parent has strengthened my ability to prioritize, communicate effectively, and stay resilient—valuable skills that translate seamlessly into any professional setting.

Affiliations

  • Being a mother to a terminally ill daughter, while also have 3 young children taught me time-management skills. This is because I was always in and out of the hospital with my daughter while still caring for my other children. This taught me to be able to handle new challenges that are thrown my way and to be able to overcome these obstacles to be there for all my kids when they need it.
