Faircloth Family LTD 2016 – to present

Faircloth Family LTD is a family-owned forestry operation with timber tracts in Orange County FL (6 now 3), Gadsden County FL (1), and Decatur County GA (6). Total acreage is just over 1600 acres. Each tract is subdivided into blocks and managed for timber as well as wildlife habitat. These tracts consist of planted Long Leaf, and Loblolly pine. The Gadsden and Decatur County tracts are not contiguous but separated by only ½ mile. The Orange County tracts are three separated blocks of Slash pine set in a now urban environment.

I have had the opportunity to work with my family on all these tracts since 2016 with job responsibilities that include, monitoring site prep and planting, prescribed burning, harvest monitoring, pond maintenance, road maintenance, under story monitoring, fire break maintenance, fence line maintenance, and various other tasks. The Orange County tracts are unique to maintain due to their urban location. I continuously monitor the under stories and mow when necessary.
