Animal Care, Gardening: My family had dairy goats, and a dairy cow, along with chickens, a dog, and cats. My duties included: feeding, hand milking, following sanitary guidelines for milk processing, cleaning out the barn, maintaining fencing, and assisting in trimming hooves. Also cared for neighbors’ horses and dogs. I assisted in gardening and maintaining the orchard. My responsibilities included: working on soil health, planting, weeding, harvesting, and food preservation.
