  • Directs activities and programs within established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the quality of the program. Recognizes ongoing needs of people experiencing homelessness; in concert with teams across Pillars, the Leadership Team and community partners, develops and implements programming to meet those needs. Prepares for and participates in program monitoring.
  • Contributes to strategic planning for the organization, including identifying and analyzing the changing root-causes of homelessness, and develops programs, staff training, or outreach to address those causes.
  • Leads program staff that may include: Crisis Housing Advocates, Operations Coordinator, Maintenance, Peer Support Specialists and Recovery Coaches and other designated staff. Responsible for hiring; training; writing and delivering performance reviews; addressing performance and/or employee concerns; assigning, developing, delivering ongoing training and development.
  • Collaborates with teams to collect and maintain all statistic and demographic data on clients and contributes to ensure monthly/quarterly/annual reports to grantors, Board of Directors and other funding sources are completed as necessary.
  • Fosters a work environment of high ethical and service standards, professional competence, sensitivity to low income individuals, and overall team engagement.
  • Contributes to agenda facilitation of program specific and Crisis Housing staff meetings.
  • Oversees operations of the facility, including managing vendor relationships, sourcing vendors, and requesting and reviewing bids for services. Manages building asset lists and needs.
  • Develops and manages budget expense lines regarding the operations of the shelter and/or site.
  • Maintains and updates policies and procedures for employees and clients.
