• Visited the Level II NICU and cared for a newborn with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

• Shadowed an RN on the Med-Surg floor at ECU Health Medical Center.
• Assisted with patient personal grooming, changing bed sheets, and taking vitals.
• Administered oral and subcutaneous medication under the watch of a clinical supervisor.
• Had the opportunity to be in the room while the doctor talked to the patient and family.
• Was able to stay with patients for any diagnostic testing and witnessed a cholecystectomy in the OR.
