* Bedside care of women throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases of care. Including varying gestational ages, both vaginal and cesarean type deliveries, both medicated and unmedicated deliveries, low, moderate, and high risk in nature.

* Bedside care of newborn infants from delivery through dismissal home with parents. Including well baby to special care status, breastfeeding support, potential development of high risk symptoms leading to transfer to higher acuity nursery.

* Team leading unit for full and partial shifts. Including staff assignments throughout shift, timekeeping, troubleshooting events/calls as they presented, triage care to newly arrived patients, collaboration with physicians, anesthesia, nursery personnel and other ancillary staff and related departments.

* Preceptor to new staff and nursing/EMT students.

* Resource/mentor to staff due to longevity and expertise in role.

* Scrub nurse for both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Including resource for team leaders and delivery team members.

* Excellent and thorough charting skills in both CPN and Meditech systems.

* Lab draws on both adult and infant patients.

* Experience in organizing, ordering, and inventory of unit supplies.

* Various committee involvements, i.e. Nurses Peer Review Council (founding member), BCC Unit Council, and numerous interviews of potential staff hires.

* Streamlined office operations by organizing supplies, managing inventories, and implementing efficient workflows.

* Assisted with minor surgical procedures, i.e. colonoscopies, needle breast biopsies, simple hemorrhoidectomies.

* Scheduled various general surgeries for 4 surgeons in coordination with patients and facilities approved by insurance.

* Utilized strong clinical skills to assess patients needs promptly and initiate appropriate interventions as directed by physician orders.

* Bedside care of women throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases of care. Including various gestational ages, both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, low, moderate, and high risk.

* Bedside care of newborn infants from delivery through dismissal home with parents. Including assessment and monitoring of potential high risk developments with transfer to onsite SCN or medical transport to higher acuity medical centers.

* Bedside care of women throughout the labor, delivery, and recovery phases of care. Including preterm to term gestational ages, low, moderate, and high risk patients, fetal demises, both vaginal and cesarean type deliveries.

* Scrub nurse for both vaginal and cesarean type deliveries.

* Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS) committee founding member & developer of policies and procedures in addition to actually assisting in the procedures.

* Preceptor to new staff and nursing students.

* Various committees, i.e., Pediatrician Notification Protocol Committee, PUBS Committee, Self-Scheduling Committee (founding member & organizer), interviews of new staff and department leaders positions.
