Lead and support 35+ staff team members on shift to coordinate the: execution of quality patient care outcomes, safe patient assignments,staff education with real time hands on clinical decision making skills and use of current protocols and practice guidelines, optimize the organization of unit logistics and operations with multiple admissions each shift, and communicate with patient care providers to insure timely high skilled patient care is provided to each and every patient and family. 

Acuity Tool Committee 2026

Worked with nurse manager and committee members to develop new acuity tool grid to optimize use of staff while providing safe patient care and outcomes.

Nursing Education Committee Chair 2023-2024

Developed a committee focused on rolling education for staff encompassing daily nursing skills and patient diagnoses seen in our patient population. Designed an Instagram Account to be relateable to current generation and social media consumption in efforts to reach more staff members with education topics for our patient population. 

Efficiency Update 2020

Updated Emergency Go Bag to be user friendly and streamlined with equipment needed to take to infant resuscitations occurring outside of the NICU or labor and delivery unit. 

Unit Status Board 2019

Adopted idea seen while on a conference at a level IV NICU in New York. Developed and organized a visual aid for the unit to display current unit census and anticipated discharge timelines.

Lean and Quality Workshop

Attended work shop and implemented lean systems in 3neo bedside supply drawers to optimize efficiency and limit work-arounds.
