- Maintain and troubleshoot all analyzers as necessary,
- Evaluating quality control and calibrations for analyzer function, reliability, and accuracy of results.

- Manual testing includes pH, Osmolality, Ionized Calcium and FFN,as well as manual urinalysis microscopic when indicated.
- Prepare proper send out samples and storage.
- Microbiology duties include gram stain reading and interpretation of flagged positive blood cultures, CSF, and other fluids.
- PCR analysis using Verigene for blood cultures, Biofire Array for respiratory and spinal fluid testing, and Cepheid GeneExpert for stool, respiratory and nares testing.
- Keep records of current competency in all areas as well as participate in CAP Survey analysis.
- Perform comprehensive analysis of patient samples and generate detailed reports to inform medical staff of results.
- Complete comprehensive diagnostic testing of blood, urine and other body fluids.
