Accomplishments

When I came to Commuter Operations, all reports were done on a yellow legal pad (handwritten). I brought them up to speed by training the staff and inputting the information on excel, brought a school on property to teach my employees. Developing our future of the railroad is very important and LEAD was a very important group for me to join and head up in Chicago. I started as a clerk, worked my way up to a director level working hard to obtain my degree and continue to tell my story to the other women in my shoes.

I contacted LEAD asking if I can introduce LEAD locally to my women in Chicago. I rolled out LEAD to the Chicago land area.

Chicago was the first to bring clerical staff to the LEAD conference.

Lansing Junior Women's Club

The Lansing Junior Women's Club raises money to provide a Veteran's dinner in May for the Veteran and their spouse/significant other (free).  They are provided an elegant hall with wonderful food, 75 baskets given away randomly by a ticket provided to them as they walk in the door.  Treated special as they all should be treated.

We volunteer in the community as a group, such as Phil's Friends.  When we go to Phil's Friends, we make packages for cancer patients, make make cards, blankets, decorate the journals and boxes all of these items are sent in across the United States.

We pledge our loyalty to The Junior Woman Club by doing better than ever before what work I have to do; by being prompt, honest, courteous, by living each day trying to accomplish something not merely to exist.
