Seeking position as Assistant Center Manager in an Interagency Dispatch Center, that will provide an opportunity to grow, strengthen my leadership skills and increase my proficiency and knowledge of program management
· As the lead aircraft dispatcher at Northern Utah Interagency Fire Center, I mobilize aircraft resources to reports of smoke or wildland fires per predetermined run card responses for multiple interagency partners
· Coordinate movement of 8 aircraft seasonally plus any additional aircraft brought into the dispatch area
· Work with FAA, airspace coordinator, and aerial supervision on airspace issues
· Mentor and train between 1-4 dispatchers on the aircraft desk yearly, also help train new seasonal dispatchers along with any visiting dispatchers and detailers
· Make suggestions and help update aircraft desk operations guide yearly
· Receive and document reports of fire, non-fire, and emergency/all risk incidents thoroughly and accurately using WildCAD
· Transmits and receives information via multiple frequency radio for ongoing fire, non-fire, and emergency/all risk incidents
· Gather, translate and disperse critical fire weather to field resources
· Using WIMS, interpret daily indices for dispatch levels and fire danger ratings
· Create and cultivate interpersonal relationships with a diverse group from several different interagency partners
· Facilitate communication between FMO’s and field resources
· Assist with gathering vital information for medical or police incidents to be passed on to the local 911 centers
· Strong understanding of dispatch operations, national, geographical, local policy and mobilization guidelines
Maintained updated and detailed records of calls in WildCAD
· Process resource orders for aircraft, crews, equipment, overhead and supplies using IROC
· Acted as the floor supervisor and coordinated the dispatch of ground resources to reports of smoke or wildland fire
· Using data from INFORM, transferred data to excel spreadsheet which contained information about fire reports that were complete, incomplete, and certified I then emailed the report to all intera24gency FMO’s
· Worked with the center manager on a “Weekly Fire Snapshot” for interagency partners
· Assisted in keeping the dispatch schedule updated and making sure we had enough staffing to cover dispatch
· Handled incoming calls that requested or needed a supervisor

· For the last 5 years, I have been collecting information about known dipsites, bodies of water, ponds etc from the county fire wardens which I had added to ARCGIS there was also a KML file created to overlay onto GoogleEarth, this assists the aircraft dispatchers in locating nearest water sources to a fire
