Registered Nurse for staff and 900 middle school students. Duties included assessment and treatment of daily medical issues including triage and treatment of critical incidents such ad injuries, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Diabetic, and other unexpected situations. Required daily medication administration and Diabetes and Insulin pump management. Participation in 504 and IEP meetings and writing individualized care plans. Maintenance of medical records, obtaining orders, and follow up. Vision and hearing screenings for 200-500 students annually. Completion state vaccination program, district Nursing and State of Indiana compliance reports. Regular written and verbal communication with Administration, staff, and families.

Supervisor in a large multi-specialty Physician practice. Responsibilities included direct supervision of clinic staff including the offices of Oncology, Infusion Center, Vaccination Clinic, Orthopedics, and Urgent Care. Duties included interviews and evaluations, scheduling, tracking annual competencies, customer service, policy and procedure composition, initiation and implementation, and prior authorizations. Reformed crash cart system to a facility wide standard, developed a new employee orientation program, and transitioned vaccination clinic to administration within each Provider office.

Simultaneous monitoring of Hemodialysis patients in a 16 chair outpatient clinic. Monitoring included initial assessment and re-assessment during treatment, education, verification of prescription, IV medication administration, accessing central venous catheters, monitoring of reverse osmosis and dialysate bath composition, interpretation of laboratory values and correlation to clinical condition, medication reconciliation, prior authorizations, written and verbal communications with providers, patients, staff, and families. Staff supervision included needle access to arteriovenous grafts and post-treatment removal, documentation of 15 minute vital signs as well as necessary assistance provided during each shift.

Emergency Room Nurse at a level one trauma center. Regular rotations included Charge Nurse, Nurse Advocate, Triage, Radio, Pediatrics, Cardiac, Venous Access, and Fast track areas. Duties included assessment and response to medical conditions ranging from birth to death, and all along the health care continuum.
