Dynamic public speaker and history enthusiast with over 3 years of experience engaging diverse audiences. At Idaho History Tours and through the Nez Perce Historical Society, I've captivated classrooms and tour groups with my knowledge of Lewis and Clark and Nez Perce history, demonstrating exceptional public speaking skills and a contagious passion for history. I was recruited to be the on board Historian for the American Cruise Lines this seasons, further inspiring history enthusiasts. I do have background work experience in the classroom as a Junior High History teacher.
On board river historian and guest speaker. Daily historical lectures to the entire ship. For the entire week, a resource for all historical related questions while onboard. Accompany them on shore excursions offering my expertise.
Teachers and educators in the community apply for me to come to their classes or events and teach the history of Lewis and Clark. This year alone I went to 6+ classrooms and did an extensive presentation on the Lewis and Clark expedition. I was also asked by both Lewiston school district and Clarkston school district to be a presenter at the school district historical rendezvous. I have been doing this now for 3 years.
I worked as a tour guide for Idaho History Tours. The tour company was hired by American Empress Cruise Line as the hop on hop off shore excursion while in the Lewis Clark Valley. I would take bus tours around the Lewiston Clarkston area and teach local history, and more specifically Lewis and Clark and Nez Perce History.
Stepped in last minute as the history, humanities teacher in the Junior high. Lectured daily on the history of Europe and the architecture, music, and art. Communicated with parents, administered tests, assignment, and grades. I instilled in those kids a deeper appreciation and love for history.
