Laury De'Asia

De'asia Laury has dedicated three years of college majoring in psychology while minoring in Laws, Values, and Policy at the University of Houston. She is on a pathway to starting her legal career as an aspiring Sports and entertainment lawyer. She has interned for the 2022 World Series Champions, The Houston Astros. She has completed advanced college courses over the years starting from high school onto her transfer to The University of Houston. She has proven to be an exemplary person in every aspect of her life. She is proficient in public speaking, volunteerism, and leadership skills, and a strong work ethic in school.

• Became one of the first African American Varsity Cheerleaders

• LIRA Group, Dallas, TX, 01/01/22, Current, I actively volunteer with the non-profit organization LIRA Group that aids and assists newly graduated high school seniors burdened with financial hardship to get the tools needed to succeed heading off to college.
• New Faith Church, Houston, TX, 02/01/22, 04/01/22, Promote healthy food consumption through work at the Houston Food Bank. Participation with the Black Student Union afforded an opportunity to hand out meals to less fortunate families.
• WALKER CONCIERGE HEALTH CLINIC, Duncanville, Tx, 05/01/17, 05/01/19, I volunteer to assist with sports physicals partnered with Duncanville High School and clinic duties for the community. Processed, organized, and conducted an inventory of various medical equipment and supplies.
