Volunteer Experience

  • Howard University Alternative Spring Break / Team Leader

March 10, 2023- March 17, 2023

As a Team Leader, I facilitated volunteer work at an at risk “elemiddle” school in St. Louis, MO. During the week, we assisted students with school work and provided academic guidance. Furthermore, I was the point of contact between Howard University students, transportation, and educators at the school.

  • Lucas Kunce for Missouri/ Phone Banker

May 2022-June 2022

As a volunteer phone-banker, I called Missourians to encourage them to vote for Lucas Kunce for the 2022 Missouri Senate Primary. This task required me to inform voters of both the ballot's issues, and Kunce's stances on each matter. As different legislative issues came up with constituents, I was able to work with my regional field manager in order to gain clarity and communicate my candidate's stance effectively.

Missouri Faith Voices/ Phone Banker

September 2020

As a volunteer phone-banker, I called Missourians to encourage them to vote on Nov. 4th. This task required me to inform voters of both the ballot's national and local issues. Paramount was Amendment 3, which undermines the will of Missouri's voters. As a member of the first volunteer cohort, I was able to support my peers that started later.

  • The Tutoring Cafe at Takoma Elementary/ After-School Aid

August 2022-Current

As an after school aid, I assist at-risk students aged 3rd to 5th grade with their homework, ensure their safety, and facilitate constructive play time for them. In addition, I assist with fundraising and grant application writing for the program.

  • DeBruce College & Career Core/ Youth Advisor

August 2019-Present

As a youth advisor, I provide insight to the Foundation regarding its various programs and products from a young adult perspective. I often lead and attend workshops and informational presentations for executive staff, the high school cohort, or even my fellow young adults.
