My hobby is bike riding in a club.
I am in a bike club with twelve people who ride thirty-six miles in a day. We have the rule of no one left behind in case there is any bike incident like a flat tire. I have been riding with this group for five years and find it challenges my body and mind. I have ridden up to 700 miles on a seven day Ragbrai trip in Iowa several times.
Additional Information
I was a substitute teacher in Chicago and enjoyed it tremendously. Currently being a volunteer helping teach second graders to read has been an experience I have enjoyed in the desert. Also I was a basketball coach when my son was growing up and helped the children learn how to become a good sport regardless of their athletic level. Children need all the help they can get from role models in the classroom.
