Lawrence Ortolani

Responsible for overseeing contract negotiation of all units, fiscal oversight, budgetary analysis, personnel and disciplinary matters, curriculum decisions, and legal matters as part of a board of trustees responsible for meeting the needs of the entire community. This is an elected position.

Sat on the board of Trustees responsible for contract negotiations and interpretations, rules and procedure violations, discipline representation, member critical incident and injury assistance, and handled all aspects of benefit administration. Elevated to Chairman of Trustees in January 2022 as well as serving as Co-Chair of the Suffolk PBA PEER Team. Directly responsible for 240 members of the 3rd Precinct and part of a team responsible for all 1700+ members of the PBA. This is an elected position.

Responsible for the protection of all civilians, while enforcing the law with respect and compassion. Protect life and liberty, prevent and detect crime, pursue criminal investigations, secure statements and write reports of all kinds, and arrest criminals. Work with the Suffolk County District Attorney's office to assist in the prosecution of arrests made, including testifying on behalf of findings.
