SGL is world-class company in the production of carbon fiber for automotive and aerospace composites. I was hired as an operator. My primary duties included maintaining high-intensity ovens and boilers for the sole purpose of making carbon fiber. In November 2019, I became a trainer, which consists of training new team members in the processes of making carbon fiber and DCS (control system operations).
Genie Industries is a world leader in the manufacture of hydraulic lifting equipment and aerial work platforms. As a team leader in the paint department, I prepared team members to paint newly manufactured heavy equipment. I utilize various tools and equipment throughout this process. In 2006, I became the first team leader in our newly created Powder Coat system. After a successful stint in creating and developing a cohesive unit of team members and processes, I transferred back and forth between the wet paint and powder coat departments as needed. This provided me with an opportunity to improve the quality on the production lines of both departments.
