When taking Spanish class my first two years of high school, my teacher made learning the language very easy and natural. I soon fell in love with learning the language because I am a very social person and it felt like I was unlocking a whole new group and culture of people to talk to. My teacher awarded me this award because I had proven to her time and time again that I loved the language and was hungry to learn more. She would always express to me how proud she was of me and how she knew I was going to do great things. I ran into her recently when she came into the Mexican restaurant that I work at and she gave me a big hug and told me once again "I am so proud of you Lawson I always knew you were the type of student capable of doing great things and pursuing whatever you wish to pursue."
