• In this position I am doing home health care and visiting patients in their homes.

• Nursing assessments and vitals are taken for every patient.

• I make sure the patients are educated as far as their diagnosis and, or disease process as well medication education, wound care and labs.

• I work with physical therapy, occupational therapy, home care aids and case managers to create and stick to a care plan that works for our patients and their caregivers.

• My goal is to help my patients stay out of the hospital unnecessarily, to make sure they are knowledgeable, and help them to achieve more independence at home.

• As a student we spent a year doing clinical rotations and training in various wards of several hospitals and units including ICU, Burn and wound clinic, OB, NICU, ER, Spinal Ward, Rehab Facilities, Nursing homes and pediatrics
• At duty stations in the reserves, I continued to meet with my unit and reinforce the training we'd received by running drills and scenarios as well as giving classes on the material.
• When I was not at drill or in training status, I worked for the institutions listed.

• I worked all shifts at some point per request, and or need for doubles and call offs. Full time, 7-3 shift, 3-11 shift and 11-7 shift
• Utilized time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively, allowing for efficient completion of daily responsibilities.
• Maintained accurate documentation of all relevant clinical data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Implemented infection control measures, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Managed patient care through closely monitoring respiration, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels.
