Summary

I am seeking a position as an elementary (K-8) classroom teacher or high school English Literature teacher, with a specific emphasis on language arts and humanities. I hold an undergraduate degree in English from the University of California, Davis, and a master's degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of Colorado, Boulder. During my graduate program, I received three graduate certificates, including social/emotional learning, cultural/linguistic diversity, and cultivating compassion and dignity in education. Through this graduate program, I had the opportunity to conduct extensive research on educational programs in the above areas and create usable content to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learners. I also have extensive teaching experience at all grade levels, as well as experience teaching in classical and religious environments. I am a passionate educator and an avid Christian teacher leader who enjoys tying literature into captivating discussions and watching students thrive and explore their identities through literature. I am also hoping to explore careers in educational leadership, where I can lead schools and communities.
