Summary

I started working at the Calimesa Donut House as soon as I could when I was 14 until I moved out to San Diego to start college. I wanted to contribute to the work force immediately and earn to become more independent, working there due to my passion for the environment. The Donut House gave me confidence in taking initiative along with distinguishing myself in a small but popular business. Not only has it taught me how to strategically multitask to benefit the sometimes endless parade of customers, but it has taught me to understand my purpose as an employee and to fulfill all those duties to my employer's greatest satisfaction. I began working at Subway as well to become more versatile in experience and become as well rounded as possible. In describing myself, the most appropriate words I would use include consistent, assiduous, and persistent. I won't hold back when it comes to getting the job done. Professionally, I'll be there when I am needed and I will do my best to fulfill what my role entitles.

  • I work the weekends Friday through Monday
  • My responsibility is to brighten the day as best as I can with each customer that comes in, and serve them to the best of my capabilities
  • I am also expected to keep the workspace as clean as possible; and do tasks such as washing donut trays, wiping the counters and windows, and making the place as presentable as possible for each customer
  • Even when I find that most duties have already been completed, I keep myself busy as my boss says, "there is always something to do." I am expected to be stealthy when it comes to serving my customers breakfast sandwiches, iced or blended coffees, and donuts to ensure the process is as efficient as possible
  • I never leave my shift unless I am confident every task was done as thoroughly as possible and that the closing shift is often left with hardly any task at all to make closing as easy as possible.

  • During my employment at the subway, I was required to handle money and know how to operate the cash register
  • I had to memorize the formulas for each sandwich and make each sandwich as perfect as possible
  • I would normally work mornings on the weekends and nights during the week
  • I had perfected labeling for sauces, refilling the bail and keeping a tidy area at all times.
