Additional Information
As a member of the Hueytown Area Chamber of Commerce Board, I work within my community to better the lives of its citizens and promote our local businesses thru event planning and execution, working with the 'junior' ambassadors to introduce younger citizens to the workings of the chamber and pique their interest in our community to encourage them to raise their own families in Hueytown. At events, I do whatever job is necessary whether being on stage or behind the scenes or working with children on crafts or selling tshirts. I am particularly excited that the chamber gives scholarships to students - chosen from among the junior ambassadors - to further their education. These applicants are asked to write an essay on how they would better the community when they complete their educations and their ideas are always inspiring.
