Trained in Pre-Op and PACU, duties include assessing patients, initiating IV’s, giving ordered medications due prior to procedures. Caring for patients post-anesthesia, delivering scheduled medications, monitoring patients vitals signs, Neuro status, providing education specific to surgical procedure to both family and patient. Providing safe nursing care to all patients.

Managed care for post-operative patients from initial recovery through discharge. Accurately documented all elements of nursing assessment, including treatment, medications and IVs administered, discharge instructions and follow-up care. Organized and managed care of patients undergoing various therapies and procedures, including pain control, ICD and pacemaker placements and Endoscopy procedures.

Trained in all of the departments of a small rural hospital. Departments included Med/surg floor, Medical Clinic, Emergency Department, Skilled Nursing Home, Endoscopy and Home Health and Hospice

Duties varied but include; patient charting, administering medications and immunizations, providing triage, drawing labs and initiating IV's, making home visits, planning care of patients, preparing patients for Endoscopy procedures.
