Driven by serving the community, I grew as a dancer and teacher, assisting dancers at Joni's School of Dance, while also exploring a background in stage management, which may serve as a future career path.
Doing volunteer work for my school and clubs provided experience with helping the community and improved my communication skills.
Using engaging communication. I communicated with residents of Barre and surrounding area's during SHS Interact Club "Tree Plenish" Bakesale.
Also assisted the residents with putting trees in their vehicles.
Being a member of Spaulding High School's National Honor Society, I used communication skills during a bakesale that occurred at SHS Graduation.
Taught and assisted a dance class every Thursday Night with students ages 5-8. When volunteering, I taught students warm-up exercises, precision and technique. With having students of the elementary age, I also helped some regulate emotions, helping students cope with their tantrums.
When it was recital season, I worked back stage with other teacher's and assistants, queuing dancers on and off stage, assisting with props and cleaning both before and after the show/.
Cerebral Palsy: Born with Spastic Diplegia, a minor form of cerebral Palsy, which somewhat impacts balance and coordination
Stutter: Stemming from Cerebral Palsy, I also have a speech fluency disorder (Stutter), causing blocks or repitition in speech. To try and make speech more fluent, using breathing techniques such as "chunking and pausing" help control the stutter.
Hearing loss: Hard of hearing (deaf) in right ear.
