Leah Deberry

My name is Leah Deberry and I am a 20 year old first year at sonoma state from San Francisco california. My favorite thing to do is go on walks and bake. I enjoy group work and creating new things. I have experience in marketing being that I started my own jewelry business in 2020 and had to promote and market my products myself. This experience has allowed me to dive further into learning about digital marketing and plain marketing strategies. I also designed my own website, business cards and made my jewelry by hand. While I still have my business I also was introduced to the UGC side of social media and decided that it was something that I was interested in. Since then I have worked with multiple brands and promoted their products for them. I also worked at Nordstrom Rack in sacramento where I was the cashier/floor watch. In this position I kept the jewelry section of the store organized and I also would switch over to the cashier during my shift along with other mild responsibilities. I believe that with my experience in being an entrepreneur and UGC creator I can be valuable in the areas of editing, marketing, filming, organizing, digital marketing and communications with outside organizations to create collaborations.
