In my job as a housekeeper, I maintain clients' homes and businesses to their satisfaction. I do basic cleaning tasks, from day to day cleaning or monthly maintenance cleaning, but I also build a rapport of trust being allowed into their homes and offices. On occasion, I run errands or perform extra, specific tasks, particularly for elderly clients who can no longer do as much for themselves. While my current role in housekeeping isn't completely specific to the position I seek, I do believe that the communication and interpersonal skills I use day to day will be vital in the role I am applying for. Also, in being self-employed, I manage all of my own scheduling and workload. I typically clean 10 to 12 homes/offices a week, as the sole employee of my business.
