• Support RNs caring for patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum in a high-acuity LDRP unit
• Provide continuous bedside support to laboring patients, assisting with positioning, comfort measures, and labor progression support
• Document fetal heart rate monitoring and uterine contraction patterns under RN supervision
• Assist the RN and obstetric provider during vaginal deliveries and immediate newborn transition
• Support postpartum recovery care, including maternal monitoring and newborn stabilization
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary obstetric team to maintain safe and efficient patient care during labor and delivery

• Prepare surgical instruments and equipment for obstetric procedures, ensuring readiness for both scheduled and emergent cesarean deliveries
  • Maintain sterile field and assist providers during cesarean sections, supporting patient safety and surgical workflow
  • Anticipate needs of obstetricians, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff during high-acuity obstetric procedures
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to laboring patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
  • Maintain adequate surgical supplies and equipment to support efficient obstetric unit operations
